North Haven Hospice

We are so much more than dying

We provide compassionate care for people  of any age, with any terminal illness or life-limiting condition within the Whangārei and southeast Kaipara Districts.

No matter the condition or illness, we are here for you and your loved ones. Our care goes beyond the individual: we are here to wrap a cloak of care and support around you, your family and whānau , and your carers. 95% of our care and support takes place in the community.

Can you spare a little to give a lot?

All our services are provided free of charge, thanks to the generosity of our community and essential but partial Government funding.

Our focus is on helping you take charge of your living, while also guiding your family and whānau before, during, and after your death. We all need to be there for the dying in our community.

Donate now and help us continue to care for those who need it most.

A Cloak of Care

North Haven Hospice provides palliative care for people who have conditions and illnesses that have been diagnosed as terminal.

The care and support we provide is not just about a physical condition, we are also able to help with social, emotional, cultural and spiritual challenges that may be experienced. Our type of care considers your family and friends, how you’re feeling, your wishes, worries and concerns, and your questions and thoughts about how a life has been lived and what may come after.
